This journey is the most common standard tour for a short cultural visit to Cambodia. It includes all main Angkor temples near Siem Reap and Phnom Penh, once called the “Pearl of Southeast Asia” and still one of the few traditional big cities in this region.

Phnom Penh

Morning arrival at Techo International Airport (IATA code: KTI) 19 kilometres south of Phnom Penh. Meet guide and transfer to hotel. Full day visits in Phnom Penh: National Museum, Silver pagoda & Royal palace and Wat Phnom pagoda, genocide museum Tuol Sleng. Evening one hour sunset cruise on Tonle Sap and Tonle Basac rivers.

Siem Reap & Angkor

Morning. Meet guide at hotel and drive to Techo International Airport (IATA code: KTI), 19 kilometres south of Phnom Penh. Flight to Siem Reap, arrival at Siem Reap–Angkor International Airport (IATA code SAI) 50 km east of east of Siem Reap City. Meet guide and transfer to hotel in Siem Reap.
Afternoon. Visit Banteay Srei temple (967 AD). On return visit Banteay Samre (Suryavarman II, 11130-1150), Eastern Mebon, Pre Rup and Prasat Kravan (10th century). View sunset from mountain temple Phnom Bakhaeng (900 AD) with a spectacular view in the main Angkor temple area, the artificial Western Baray (2 x 4 km) and the Great lake Tonle Sap.

Angkor & Siem Reap

Morning. Visit of Angkor Thom: – Southern Gate, Bayon, Terrace of Elephants, Terrace of Leper King, the 12 Prasat Suor Prat (King Jayavarman VII, 1181-1220); – Temples of 11th century: Ba Phuon, Phimeanakas, Northern and Southern Khleang. Afternoon. visit Ta Prohm (Jayavarman VII) and Angkor Wat (Suryavarman II).

Angkor & Siem Reap

Excursion to Koh Ker (Angkor capital 928-944) and Boeng Mealea (Suryavarman II). Evening. View performance of traditional dances at Apsara Theatre with Khmer traditional Khmer dinner.

The Great Lake Tonle Sap

Morning. Boat cruise on Tonle Sap. Visit floating village. Visit traditional handicraft workshops (wood and stone carving, lacquer work) of Artisans d’Angkor and show rooms. Afternoon. Transfer with guide to Siem Reap–Angkor International Airport (IATA code SAI).
